Help Win a $250,000 Grant for NRECA's International Foundation!
(International Foundation, July 2010)

The NRECA International Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to bringing electricity to the world ... one village at a time. The organization is supported solely through volunteer donations of time, money, and materials. The Foundation is currently campaigning to win the top prize with the Chase Bank Giving Community competition. The competition takes place on Facebook and the winners are decided based on the number of votes that each organization receives from Facebook users.

A win for the Foundation will make an incredible difference in the lives of many who do not have the luxury of electricity. The Foundation will be able to continue helping countries like Haiti, where we have been able to restore 35 percent of the electrical system after the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010.

Help us to do even more! Sign onto Facebook and vote for the International Foundation.

Once you've voted, make an even bigger difference by forwarding this information to your family and friends. Ask them to support the Foundation as well.

Chase Bank will award a cash prize to the top 200 organizations with the most votes. The first place organization will receive A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS, the next four organizations will receive $100,000.00, and the other 195 organization will receive $20,000.00.

NRECA International has brought electricity to over 100 million people in more than 40 different countries. To help us expand our reach and continue doing this good work, we need your vote on Facebook now!

This money will make a real difference by providing the opportunity to:

  • Send 42 co-op volunteers overseas to help us fulfill our mission
  • Purchase the supplies and materials to electrify at least 12 communities who are currently living in darkness

Please note: Voting closes at midnight July 12, 2010.
